Read It Forward

I've always been inspired by good storytelling, ever since I was a little kid. I was told I had an "overactive" imagination, and I don't think it ever went away. I participated in music--piano, band, choir, etc.--throughout my elementary, middle, and high school career. I also did speech and the spring/fall musical in high school, cultivating my love of theatre. I graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2019 with a double major in Theatre Arts and Creative Writing. My passion is telling a great story, and I've experimented with different genres in the past. These include screenwriting, playwriting, short stories, poetry, and novels. I'm currently working on my first full-length thriller/horror novel, which has been exciting. To be fair, the story has changed about 3 different times, and it will probably keep changing before the first draft is done, but I'm looking forward to sharing the story with everyone, whatever it becomes. When I'm not writing, I love listening to music and going to the gym, as well as reading. I'm always in the middle of at least two books at a time, which is less of a flex and more of a point of evidence for my ADHD. 🤣 Either way, it has helped me explore different genres of books and expand my understanding of different stories.
